If you get no picture, the usual cause is that the connected device does not output video over USB-C. Confirm the device supports USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode; if it does not (for example an older phone, a Switch, or a desktop with a data-only USB-C port), you need the matching XREAL adapter or streaming box. Make sure the device is unlocked, and use a cable that carries video rather than a charge-only cable.
If the image appears but drifts or feels unstable, switch between Follow and Anchor mode to match what you are doing, and make sure the glasses are seated level. Persistent flicker on a laptop is usually a refresh-rate or display-setting mismatch, so set the output to a standard resolution and 60 or 120 Hz. If sound or picture cuts out intermittently, try a different USB-C cable, since broken or uncertified USB-C cables and loose physical connections are usually the common cause.
FAQ:
- The image is doubled or blurry, what now? Check IPD size and centring first; a wrong IPD is the most common cause.
- It works on my laptop but not my phone. The phone likely does not output USB-C video; use a supported phone or a streaming box.
