The Magnifier Effect:
The internal lenses of the Galaxy XR act like powerful magnifying glasses. If direct sunlight hits the lenses for even a few seconds, it will focus the light into a pinpoint beam that permanently burns the Micro-OLED panels.
Symptoms:
This results in permanent black or yellow “burn marks” on your display that cannot be fixed via software.
Prevention:
Always store your headset in its protective sleeve or a dark case. Never leave it on a desk or chair near a window, even if the sun isn’t currently shining directly on that spot.
