The HTC Vive XR Elite has a binocular display, meaning there are two LCD Displays, one for each eye. The displays are not see-through, therefore the surroundings are captured through a camera on the outside of the headset and displayed on the displays.
Additionally the displays have adjustable diopter compensations. Unfortunately it is only possible to adjust negative diopter values for the compensation of near-sightedness, not for far-sightedness.
The resolution of the HTC Vive XR Elite is 1920 x 1920 pixels per eye. Furthermore, the headset’s field of view is 110 degrees, which is more than the HTC Vive Flow. The frame rate is 90Hz.
