Before you start

  • The Vuzix Blade 2 is not water resistance. Do not use any sprays. Drips and spills should be avoided.
  • Make sure you have Smartphone ready to be paired with the Vuzix Blade 2. This smartphone is necessary to use the device.

How to install 

This guide explains how to install the Vuzix Blade 2.

What is needed:

  • Vuzix Blade 2
  • Smartphone
  1. Before you start you have to create an account. You can create your Vuzix account here: https://www.vuzix.com/Account/Register
  2. Install the Vuzix Companion app on your smartphone:

IOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vuzix-companion/id1383316233

  1. Open the application. You should see a QR code.
  2. Turn on the Vuzix Blade 2 by pressing/holding the “Power Button” for 3 seconds. You should now see the Home Menu of the Vuzix.
  3. From here go to ‘Settings’. Tip: You can swipe to the right.  
  4. Select ‘Companion Link’ and scan the QR code you have on your mobile. 
  5. You are now ready to go!

How to connect Wi-Fi

This guide explains how to connect the Vuzix Blade 2 with a Wi-Fi network.

What is needed:

  • Smartphone 
  • Vuzix Blade 2
  • Wi-Fi network

Connect Wi-Fi through the smartphone (recommended) 

  1. Open the Vuzix app on your smartphone and go to the settings. 
  2. Select your Wi-Fi under Blade 2 settings.
  3. Choose the network you want to connect with and fill in the password.
  4. Both your phone and app are now connected to the Wi-Fi. 

Connect to Wi-Fi through the Vuzix Blade 2

  1. Start the Vuzix Blade 2 and go to the Settings. 
  2. Go to Connectivity and choose Wi-Fi, after this choose Add Network.
  3. Choose the Wi-Fi network you want to connect with and fill in the password.

How to connect wireless earplugs

This guide explains how to connect wireless earplugs to the Vuzix Blade 2.

What is needed:

  • Vuzix Blade 2
  • Bluetooth
  • Earplugs

Connect your earplugs

  1. Put on the Vuzix Blade 2 and turn on the headset. 
  2. Make sure your Vuzix Blade 2 is connected and your Bluetooth is enabled. You can do this by following these steps:
    1. Go to Settings in the Vuzix Blade 2.
    2. Select Connectivity.
    3. Select Bluetooth and turn the Bluetooth on.
  3. Select Add Device and choose the device you want to connect with.
  4. Swipe up/down with 2 fingers to determine the volume of the Earplugs. 

How to download applications

This guide explains how to download applications on your Vuzix Blade 2.

What is needed:

  • Smartphone or computer

Download applications through smartphone

  1. Open the app on the Smartphone.
  2. The Vuzix Blade 2 should be linked with the smartphone that did the installation of the headset.
  3. Log in with your account.
  4. Go to the store and you can easily download and install the preferred applications on the Vuzix Blade 2.

Download application through Vuzix website

  1. Open the Vuzix Appstore: https://www.vuzix.com/appstore 
  2. Login into your account.
  3. Choose any application you would like to download and install on the preferred device.
