How to wear your RealWear Navigator 520:
The Navigator 520 is modular, so you fit it to a headband, hard-hat clips or a bump cap depending on the job and the PPE in use.
The single-eye boom can be set for the left or right eye, and you position the display just below your natural line of sight so it does not block your view of the task. Determining your dominant eye and adjusting the boom is the main comfort step.
How to set-up:
1. Charge the headset
- Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the headset and a suitable wall charger.
- The light beside the power button is yellow while charging and green when fully charged. support.realwear.com
2. Put it on and position the display
- Fit the headset securely using its headband or approved helmet mount.
- Position the small screen in front of your dominant eye, the eye you naturally prefer for aiming.
- Move the screen slightly below eye level, about 4–5 cm from your eye. support.realwear.com
3. Switch it on
- Hold the power button for 3 seconds.
- Wait approximately 15 seconds for startup.
- Tilt and rotate the display until you can see all four corners of the screen clearly. support.realwear.com
4. Prepare Wi-Fi setup on your phone
Install RealWear One, the phone app used to configure the headset.
- Open the app and tap SIGN IN. Sign in using an available account option.
- Tap GET CONNECTED, then select your Navigator device.
- Follow the firmware check. This setup route requires firmware 1.6 or later.
- Select NO, ADD A NETWORK → ENTER WIFI MANUALLY.
- Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password.
- For a brand-new headset, select NO, IT’S NEW OR RESET.
- Follow the app’s instructions until it displays a setup QR code. support.realwear.com
5. Scan the QR code with the headset
- If the headset already shows a QR scanner, point its camera at the code on your phone.
- Otherwise, say “NAVIGATE HOME” → “MY PROGRAMS” → “CONFIGURATION”.
- Hold your phone where the headset’s camera can see the entire QR code.
- Wait for the confirmation tone. The code applies the network and setup settings. These commands assume the headset is set to English. support.realwear.com
6. Open your work application
- Say “NAVIGATE HOME”, then “MY PROGRAMS”.
- Say the app name shown on the screen to open it.
- Follow its login instructions using your company-provided account.
