The Arc 3 is rated IP54 (dust and splash) with a 1-metre drop spec and operates from -20 to +45 C. That is appropriate for warehouses, logistics, healthcare and general frontline work, but it is deliberately less rugged than the Navigator line, which is the right choice for heavy or hazardous industry. Neither device is intrinsically safe.
Its 2000 mAh battery is internal and not hot-swappable, so for continuous multi-shift use you should plan charging breaks or spare devices, unlike the hot-swap Navigator 520. For a single shift of intermittent use it is designed to last the day.
FAQ: Can I hot-swap the battery like the Navigator? No; the Arc 3 battery is internal. Plan charging around shift length.
