The Settings app is the command center of your Apple Vision Pro. It allows you to customize everything from how you interact with the interface to the level of immersion in your digital workspace.
Personalization & Security
To make the device truly yours, you must first configure your identity and connection preferences.
- Optic ID: Set up iris recognition through the Sensors and Cameras to unlock your device, authorize purchases, and sign into apps securely.
- Persona: Use the TrueDepth Camera to create a high-fidelity digital representation of yourself for FaceTime and other communication apps.
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth: Manage your wireless connections to ensure a stable environment for Lossless Audio or to pair external Magic Keyboards and Trackpads.
Interaction & Vision Tuning
Since every user’s eyes and hands are different, these settings ensure the system responds perfectly to your biology.
- Eyes & Hands: Use this menu to recalibrate your gaze tracking or adjust the sensitivity of your gestures within visionOS.
- Display & Text Size: Fine-tune the brightness, font scale, and contrast to take full advantage of the Micro-OLED technology.
- Environment Settings: Control how the Digital Crown manages the transition between your physical room and your Immersive Environments.
Spatial Computing Features
Optimize how the headset understands and interacts with the world around you.
- Audio Ray Tracing: Adjust spatial audio settings based on the room acoustic data collected by the LiDAR Scanner.
- Mac Virtual Display: Enable and configure the wireless link that turns your Vision Pro into a massive private monitor for your Mac.
- Guest Mode: Activate this when sharing your headset to protect your data and allow others to use the device without overwriting your Eyes & Hands calibration.
Troubleshooting & System Health
- Software Update: Keep your device running smoothly with the latest firmware updates for the M2 and R1 Chips.
- Storage Management: Monitor your available space to ensure high-performance apps and 3D Movies run without stuttering.
- Reset Options: If the interface feels misaligned, try clearing your calibration data or wiping the exterior sensors with an Apple Polishing Cloth before performing a full system reset.
