How to use the Pico Business Suite on the Pico G3?

In this article you will learn how to use the Pico Business Suite on the Pico G3. Through the Pico Business Suite it is possible to use three main features: Synchronization, Streaming and Kiosk Mode. Click here to learn more about the Pico Business Suite.

What is needed:

• Pico G3
• Computer
• Wi-Fi connection
• USB-C cable 
• Internet cable

PUI OS Requirements:

• Pico G3: 5.6.0 or better

To check the PUI OS version of your headset, go to Settings and select the General tap on the left side. Click on System Version and there you will see the current PUI OS version.

Minimum PC requirements:

Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit 1903 or better

CPU: Intel Core i5 equivalent or better

RAM: 4GB RAM equivalent or better

Graphics card: GTX 1070 equivalent or better

How to download and install the Pico Business Suite on the Pico G3 and your computer

1. On your computer, go to the Pico website and download the Pico Business Suite for your computer.
2. Select a language and click on OK.
3. Select Install a local media server and click on Next.
4. Select a location where the Pico Business Suite should be installed on your computer and click on Next.
5. Click on Install at the bottom right corner to start the installation of the Pico Business Suite.
6. Click on Finish. The Pico Business Suite software will start on your computer.
7. Now you have to sign in with your Pico Business Account by entering your e-mail address and password. A guide on how to create a Pico Business account can be found here. Make sure you use that specific Pico Business account also on your headset.
8. Next you have to download the Pico Business Suite APK for your headset. The APK can be found on the Pico website.
9. Now you have to install the Pico Business Suite APK on your headset.

You should now know how to download and install the Pico Business Suite on the Pico G3 and your computer.

To use the Pico Business Suite functions you need to connect the Pico G3 with your computer through the Pico Business Suite.

How to connect the Pico G3 with the computer through the Pico Business Suite

1. On your computer open the Pico Business Suite.
2. Log into your Pico Business account by entering your e-mail address and password.
3. Put on your headset and turn it on.
4. In the dock at the bottom of your view, click on the Library icon. It is located on the right side of the dock.
5. There you will find the Pico Business Suite App. It is black with a bright green VR headset symbol. 
6. Click on it to open the Pico Business Suite.
7. In the top right corner click on More. 
8. Click on the toggle next to the Allow Control by Control Terminal. This allows your computer to control your headset.
9. Make sure your headset is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your computer.
10. On your computer click on Devices in the left sided menu in the Pico Business Suite.
11. Click on + Add Devices.
12. Select the headset you want to connect by ticking the box on the left side of the desired headset. 
13. Click on Done on the top right corner to add the selected device.

You should now  know how to connect the Pico G3 with your computer through the Pico Business Suite. The headset should now appear under the section Devices on the Pico Business Suite on your computer. 

[Note: The Pico Business app on your headset and the Pico Business Suite on your computer should be both updated to the latest Version, otherwise the Pico Business Software on your computer will not recognise your headset.]

How to Synchronize, Stream and use the Kiosk Mode in the Pico Business Suite

1. After the headset is connected with the computer through the Pico Business Suite you will be able to Synchronize, Stream and use the Kiosk Mode through the Pico Business Suite.
2. On your computer open the Explorer.
3. Right click on the folder Your Pc located on the left side of the Explorer.
4. Select Manage. The Computer Management setting will be opened.
5. On the left side of the Computer Management under the section Services and Applications click on Services.
6. Select ByteRTC Services Assistant and click on Start at the top left corner.

Pico Business Suite Synchronization 

1. To use the Synchronization feature, on your computer click on Sync on the left sided menu.
2. At the top click on Enter a solution name. 
3. A window will appear. In there enter a Solution Name and a Description and click on confirm at the top right corner.
4. The new created Solution will be opened.
5. Click on + Add Content.
6. In there you can upload Videos, Apps and Images. In the desired section click on Upload. 
7. The Explorer will be opened. Select the desired file and click on Open.
8. Click on Confirm at the top right corner.
9. Now you need to deploy the uploaded file.
10. Click on Solutions on the left sided menu. There you will see the just uploaded Solution.
11. On the right side of that Solution, click on Deploy.
12. Select Online Deployment and click on Confirm at the top right corner.
13. The Deployment will start. When the process is finished the status will change to Deployed.
14. Select Sync in the left sided menu.
15. On the deployed solution click on Open.
16. You will be asked if you want to display the Solution on your connected headset. Click on Confirm on the bottom right corner.

The uploaded Solution will be displayed on your Pico G3 through the Pico Business Suite.

Pico Business Suite Streaming 

1. To use the Streaming feature you need a wired connection between your router and the Pico Business Suite computer. Connect them using an internet cable.
2. On your computer on the left sided menu click on Steaming.
3. A drop down menu will appear. There you need to choose between two options: Stream Your Screen and Use a Streaming Link.
4. If you want to Stream Your Screen, click on it on the left sided menu.
   1. On your computer, open the content you want to stream. It can be a website opened in a browser or software on your computer.
   2. In the Pico Business Suite on your computer, select the headset you want to stream your screen to.
   3. Click on + Add Content.
   4. Select the screen you want to Stream on your headset and click on Share at the top right corner.
   5. Make sure the headset you want to stream to is still selected. At the bottom click Play.
   6. You will be asked if you want to start streaming. To accept, click on Confirm.
   7. The screen will now be streamed to the selected headset.
5. If you want to Use a Streaming Link, click on it on the left sided menu.
   1. On your computer, copy the link you want to stream.
   2. In the Pico Business Suite on your computer, select the headset you want to stream the link to.
   3. Click on + Add Content.
   4. In the appearing window insert the copied link into the field Streaming Link.
   5. Click on Confirm at the top right corner.
   6. Make sure the headset you want to stream to is still selected. At the bottom click Play.
   7. You will be asked if you want to start streaming. To accept, click on Confirm.
   8. The Streaming Link will now be streamed to the selected headset.

The content you want to stream to the Pico G3 is now streaming on your headset through the Pico Business Suite.

Pico Business Suite Kiosk Mode

1. On your computer on the left sided menu click on Kiosk Mode.
2. Click on + Add a Kiosk Mode Solution.
3. Enter a Solution Name and a Description.
4. Click on Add Content at the top right corner.
5. The Explorer will be opened. 
6. Select the desired file you want to upload and click on Open.
7. Click on the arrow pointing down next to Screen back on from off to open the drop down menu.
8. Choose between two options:
   1. Restart Video: The video will start from the beginning if you put on the headset.
   2. Continue Play: The video will continue where you left off.
9. After adding the content, the Solution has to be deployed. 
10. Click on Solutions on the left sided menu. There you will see the uploaded Solution.
11. On the right side of that Solution, click on Deploy.
12. You will see instructions on how to add content offline.
    1. Connect your headset with the computer using a USB-C cable. Make sure the headset is turned on.
    2. Now on your computer open the Explorer.
    3. Copy the content you want to deploy.
    4. In the Explorer window on the left side you will find different folders.
    5. Click on the folder called This PC. There you will find a folder called PICO G3. 
    6. Open the folder PICO G3. 
    7. Now you will see a folder called Internal Storage, this is the root directory. Click on Internal Storage to open the root directory.
    8. In there you will find all the folders that are installed on your headset.
    9. Now paste the content you want to deploy into the root directory. 
    10. Restart your headset.
13. When the process is finished the Status will change to Deployed in the Pico Business Suite on your computer.

The content will be shown on the Pico G3 in Kiosk Mode through the Pico Business Suite.
