Managing a fleet of VR headsets at scale requires consistent upkeep, especially when devices become inactive or unused. Naturally, you may want to set up automatic remote wipes for these scenarios.
Can PICO Business Device Manager schedule remote wipes automatically?
Currently, PICO Business Device Manager does not support automatic remote wipes for inactive devices. All wipe actions, such as removing deployed content, settings, and data, must be performed manually through the platform.
To initiate a manual wipe, administrators can navigate to the device controls in the platform and use the Wipe Data function for the desired headset(s). This ensures data is securely removed, and the device is moved back to the “Ungrouped Devices” list.
While automated remote wipes are not yet available, PICO Business Device Manager still provides powerful manual tools for securely managing inactive or reassigned headsets. For now, administrators should rely on manual controls to maintain a clean and secure device environment.
How to secure sensitive data when using remote wipe features? This is what we explain here.
