How to recenter your playing area in SteamVR:

In a game/application, press the menu bottom on the controller (uppermost button) above the trackpad.

The SteamVR menu will open.

Walk into the center of the playing area you want to set.

Click on the ‘reset standing position’ icon in the bottom right corner of the SteamVR menu.

A countdown timer will appear. After 3 seconds the playing area will be reset.

You should now know how to recenter your playing area in SteamVR.
