In this article you will learn how to reboot the Magic Leap 2.
What is needed:
- Magic Leap 2 & Compute Pack
- Magic Leap 2 controller
How to reboot the Magic Leap 2
- Go to the main menu by pressing the “Home” Button which is located at the bottom of the controller displaying a house.
- The main menu displays square icons aligned vertically on the left side of your view.
- Select the icon that is located at the bottom of that row.
- A window will appear next to the icon you selected.
- At the bottom of that window you will see the “Restart” button displaying a round arrow on the left side of that button.
- Then you will be asked if you want to restart the headset.
- Click on the purple “Yes” button on the bottom right corner of that window.
The headset will now reboot.
How to reboot the Magic Leap 2 if the Headset does not turn on
For this you will additionally need:
- Computer
- USB-C cable to either USB-C or USB depending on the ports on your computer
- Magic Leap Hub installed on your computer
- If the headset does not turn on you can reboot the headset with the computer through the Magic Leap Hub.
- Download the Magic Leap Hub to your computer.
- Launch the Magic Leap Hub on your computer.
- Connect the Magic Leap Compute Pack with the computer. Plug the USB-C end of the cable into the Compute Pack and the other end of the cable into the computer.
- On your computer in the main menu of the Magic Leap Hub, you will see up to 6 rectangular fields. In the “Device Bridge” field click on the white “Start Device Bridge” button.
- The Device Bridge will start.
- At the top of the Device Bridge you need to select the “Dashboard” tab.
- There you will see the Magic Leap 2 headset displayed inside a circle.
- Click on the “Restart” Button underneath the displayed headset.
Your Magic Leap 2 will restart.
