If your organization is setting up Meta Horizon Managed Services (MHMS) for the first time or switching to a reseller like VR Expert, you’ll need to generate an activation code. This guide explains each step, from creating your Meta Admin Center account to sharing the activation code securely with your reseller.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Sign up to Meta Admin Center account
If you don’t already have an account, visit Meta Horizon Managed Solutions Sign-Up.
- First, choose whether your organization will use MHMS for Work or Education.
- Select your country from the drop down.
- Enter your work email address and fill in the required fields.
- Verify your email address using the verification code sent from the @meta.com domain.
- Complete your profile by entering your organization name and selecting the number of Meta Quest devices you plan to manage
The account may take a moment to be created.
2. Choose your subscription method
You will then be prompted to select a subscription method. Here you can select Meta themselves or a reseller such as VR Expert.
For existing MHMS users, you can connect your plan with a reseller:
- In your Meta Admin Center, click Products & Billing from the left-hand menu.
- Under Connect with a new reseller, select Subscribe through a reseller.
- Click the link to review the Meta Horizon Managed Services Reseller Customer Terms.
- Agree to the terms and continue.
You can also find your community ID here, which your reseller needs to provide additional licenses.
3. Generate and share your code with your reseller
After creating your account and selecting a reseller, you will then get a generated activation code which you need to forward to your reseller. Copy the generated code securely.
Share this activation code with your authorized reseller, such as VR Expert. Once VR Expert completes the setup, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Meta.
The VR Expert team will now enroll your organization and ship your pre-configured Meta headsets.
Security and best practices
- Only administrators with the proper permissions should generate and share activation codes.
- Always share the activation code through secure channels.
- Delete the activation code once it’s been used to complete the process.
