PICO Business Device Manager is a comprehensive online tool that helps businesses manage, configure, and supervise large numbers of PICO VR headsets from a central location. Whether overseeing a dozen devices or hundreds, the platform provides both remote and on-site controls, device grouping, custom setups, and efficient update options, streamlining enterprise VR operations at scale.
Device Controls
Remote Controls
The platform allows managers to carry out critical actions on headsets from a distance. These include:
- Reboot: Remotely restart selected headsets.
- Shut Down: Power off the chosen devices without physical access.
- Factory Reset: Clear all saved data, apps, and configuration settings. Devices must be charged to at least 40%. Devices remain visible in the console unless manually removed.
- Wipe Data: Remove all configurations and content pushed via the platform. Affected headsets are then listed as “Ungrouped Devices.”
- Live Monitoring: View a real-time feed of a headset’s screen. This feature is limited to one device at a time.
Local Controls
Beyond remote actions, the system also allows device-level changes:
- Edit Device Details: Adjust device names and add descriptions to simplify organization.
- Group Assignment: Assign ungrouped devices to specific groups, applying pre-configured settings.
- Remove Devices: Eliminate devices from the platform. Admins can also choose to clear deployed content during this process.
Group Management
Device grouping improves organization and content distribution. Admins can:
- Create Groups: Set up collections of headsets based on usage or location.
- Edit Group Info: Update group details or assign device types.
- Delete Groups: Disband groups and optionally remove their assigned content. Devices are returned to the ungrouped list
Home Screen Customization
There are three main layout modes to tailor the user interface.
Custom Home
Admins can use a provided template to build a tailored home screen:
- Preview Area: View updates in real-time during setup.
- App Integration: Add in-house, pre-installed, or third-party apps.
- Shortcuts: Customize which tools appear in the dock.
- Theme Settings: Modify background visuals, logos, and interface colors.
- Security PIN: Restrict access to advanced settings using a dynamic or fixed PIN.
Users can always revert to the original PICO home via settings.
Kiosk Mode
This mode locks the headset to a single application:
- Select an app (deployed, pre-installed, or third-party).
- Confirm settings with “Save and Apply.” They will update once the device is online.
PICO Default Home
Use the native PICO layout, while customizing quick-access shortcuts.
- Choose which options appear in the Quick Settings menu.
- Apply changes via the “Save and Apply” button.

To streamline management, admins can build reusable setup templates.

- Click “Save” once ready.
Step 2: Deploy Settings

Step 2: Upload Files

- Upload the .zip file without renaming or extracting it.
- Add version details and confirm upload.
Step 3: Push Updates
