To prevent collisions with furniture or walls, the Galaxy XR uses LiDAR-based safety barriers.
Setting the Perimeter:
During setup, use the “Roomscale” mode to draw a boundary on your floor with your controller.
Active Awareness:
If you step within 0.5 meters of your boundary, the headset will automatically trigger Passthrough Vision, fading the virtual world into a real-world view so you can see your surroundings.
Pet/Object Detection:
Enable “Object Alerts” in settings. Using the LiDAR sensor, the headset will show a glowing digital outline of any person or pet that enters your play area, even if they are outside your direct field of view.
