Before you start
- Do not allow the lenses to come in contact with long periods of direct sunlight. This will permanently damage the screen and does not fall under warranty.
- Make sure you have enough room space to move around.
How to connect the Pico G3 to a Wi-Fi network?
- When wearing the headset, open the menu by clicking the bottom button on the controller.
- Click on the settings tab displaying the wifi and battery icon.
- In this menu navigate to the wifi logo and click it.
- A list of all available networks will be displayed, select the one you want to connect to.
- Fill in the password and you should automatically connect to the wifi.
How to install an application on the Pico G3?
- To install an application, open the menu by clicking the bottom button on the controller.
- Open the “Library” and open the Business Store app.
- In the Business Store app use the search function and find the app you want to install.
- Now you can install the app and it will automatically be set up for first time use.
How to activate developer mode on the Pico G3?
- While wearing the headset, open the menu by clicking the bottom button on the controller.
- Click on the settings tab displaying the wifi and battery icon.
- navigate to the settings tab at the top right corner.
- Once in the settings navigate to the “General” settings tab and scroll down to “About”.
- Scroll down until you see the software version number.
- Click on the number 10 times.
- The headset is now in developer mode.
How to transfer files from a computer to the Pico G3?
- Connect the Pico G3 and the computer with the USB-C cable (the Pico G3has a USB-C port on the top of the headset).
- When you connect the headset to the computer you will see a pop up on your computer, click on the pop up. (if you don’t see the pop up, check if the headset is in development mode)
- Select in the pop up USB configuration, this will standard be set to ‘Charging’.
- To access the files it will need to be set to ‘MTP (Media Transfer Protocol).
- Your Pico G3 should now appear as a drive on your computer.
Now that the Pico G3 appears as a drive on your computer you can copy things such as images and music into the file system.
Where to download the SDK (software development kit) of the Pico G3?
Once available you will be able to find and download the SDK on the developer section of the Pico website.
